What do you enjoy most about being a member of CrossFit Middle Village?

Top three things: The positive atmosphere, knowledgeable & supportive coaches, and a balanced and varied programming.

How/when did you get involved in CrossFit?

I took a CrossFit conditioning class via ClassPass by curiosity, I saw a few people doing Olympic lifts in a corner and I had to find out what that felt like!

What was your first CrossFit workout? How did you feel afterwards?

It was a combination of power cleans and box jump overs. I was crushed that I couldn’t clean over 50lbs although I had been training for years! And so I made it my mission to learn the movement skills. I’ve loved it ever since!

What do you enjoy most about CrossFIt? What is your favorite WOD or Lift?

The partner workouts constantly remind and encourage me on how to work better in a team environment at my workplace. If I can encourage someone when I’m also out of breath, then anything is possible! 😄

What is your least favorite WOD or Lift?

The split jerk, like, why?!

What motivates you? How has CrossFit changed you?

n/a

What were your goals when you started this journey?

Staying consistent, I knew practice would pay-off.

What are your goals for the upcoming year?

Fall in love with the split-jerk? 😅

Continue to explore, learn, and grow.

Do you have any advice for new members?

You’re about to learn so much more about yourself, don’t worry about lifting heavy weights or being the first one to finish but rather focus on moving efficiently and enjoying the process.
