How/when did you get involved in CrossFit?

In 2020, I began to show an interest in Crossfit. During the pandemic, I enrolled in a gym that held outdoor sessions. Gradually, I was introduced to barbell exercises, and I was instantly obsessed.

What was your first CrossFit workout? How did you feel afterwards?

First workout consisted of rowing and wall balls. It was such an intense session that left me both exhausted and satisfied.

What do you enjoy most about CrossFIt?

What I love most about CrossFit is the tight-knit community it creates. Every time I attend a workout, coaches and fellow members are all cheerful, motivating us throughout class.

Favorite WOD is Cindy and Lift: Back squat. Least favorite WOD is Karen and Lift: snatches

What motivates you? How has CrossFit changed you?

Progress tracking serves as motivation for me.  Crossfit has changed my approach to workouts and weightlifting. Important emphasis on proper form to prevent inquiries.

What were your goals when you started this journey ?

When I joined CFMV, my primary goal was to prioritize proper form. While I had the fundamentals of Crossfit training, I wished to perfect my technique and other movements.

What are your goals for the upcoming year?

My goal for this upcoming year is to maintain consistency in my training. I took a break due to school commitments, I returned eager to improve strength and track my progress.  I am also looking forward to the next Crossfit Open.

Do you have any advice for new members?

Welcome! You’re in for some fun. You’ll be surprised how strong you truly are. Yes, some workouts are intense and challenging but always make sure to listen to your body.
