"Guergana has been nominated as our CrossFit Athlete of the Month, a well-deserved recognition for her incredible dedication and hard work. Unstoppable in her pursuit of excellence, she is always ready to take on new challenges. Her physical limitations have become her motivation and our inspiration, as she continues to crush her goals. Guergana has come a very long way in a short period of time, embodying the spirit of resilience and determination that defines our community. CONGRATS Guergana!!! Can not wait to see where you are with your goals in a year!" -Coach Julia

What do you enjoy most about being a member of CrossFit Middle Village? Being a member of CrossFit MV I enjoy the most how helpful everyone is. The staff and the members are always encouraging and friendly. I really enjoy that it is a true judgement free zone and everyone wants to see everyone else succeed.

How/when did you get involved in CrossFit? I started CrossFit about 3/4 months ago.

What was your first CrossFit workout? How did you feel afterwards? My first workout was foundations with Julia. We did a lot of different movements with the PVC pipe, and I remember going back to my car and not being able to lift my arms to hold the steering wheel. I thought what have I gotten myself into!

What do you enjoy most about CrossFit?  In CrossFit I enjoy the most the coaches ability to tailor any workout or exercise to my individual fitness level. All the coaches are amazing at working and creating a movement that can be done with my limited range and mobility.  In addition I enjoy the workout session structure and the variety of workouts .

What is your favorite WOD or Lift? What is your least favorite WOD or Lift? Squats on Mondays is my favorite. Least favorite - overhead with barbell

What motivates you? How has CrossFit changed you?  Showing up and being consistent has been a huge motivator for me. Carving out a time to make the 915 am class "my time" has also really made it a part of my routine. CrossFit has helped me become stronger. I remember my first wall ball and attempt at a wall walk! Now I can see the progress in those 2 movements.

What were your goals when you started this journey ? My goal was to become stronger when I first started.

What are your goals for the upcoming year?   Continue to work on proper technique,

Do you have any advice for new members? Keep at it, make it a routine, enjoy it, don't be afraid to try new things.
