What do you enjoy most about being a member of CrossFit Middle Village? 

The way that everyone supports and pushes me to do better ! It's a great feeling to want to keep going back and try harder the next day. 

How/when did you get involved in CrossFit? 

I started crossfit around March 2022. I was introduced to Chris and some of the other coaches at work and let's just say they were very convincing ;D ! 

What was your first CrossFit workout? How did you feel afterwards? 

My first workout was actually the Crossfit Open where we did deadlifts and burpees over the bar and OHHHH I had no clue what I got myself into :’) ! I went from being insanely nervous to being extremely proud of myself for not only doing a great job at my first open but doing something I didn’t think I would be able to accomplish before. 

What do you enjoy most about CrossFIt?

The people, the coaches, the environment.  There is honestly nothing not to enjoy about it. 

What is your favorite WOD or Lift? 

My favorite has to be handstand pushups! 

What is your least favorite WOD or Lift?.  

Box jumps will be the death of me :) 

What motivates you? How has CrossFit changed you? 

One of the things that motivates me is seeing how much I’ve achieved in such a short period of time and knowing how much more I can improve in the future. Another thing that's been a huge motivation to me has been the other members and how driven and focused they are. Crossfit has changed me in a way where I’m more confident in not only myself but in the things that I do. It gives me a much better mindset. 

What were your goals when you started this journey ? 

Starting this journey my main goal was to live a healthier lifestyle . 

What are your goals for the upcoming year? 

My goals for the upcoming year are to build more muscle, get stronger, to have a better understanding of nutrition and the nutrients the body needs to stay healthy and to keep improving in everything I do at the gym. 

Do you have any advice for new members? 

Never give up and keep pushing yourself !!
