YITZY KNOPFLER 

"Yitzy began his CrossFit journey with us six months ago. Although he did not have much fitness experience, his consistency and commitment to learning new skills, along with hard work has paid off.  When Yitzy started,  an air squat was challenging.  Today he is back squatting 165lbs for reps. As one of his coaches I have personally watched him progress in all domains of our CrossFIt program.  He comes in everyday with a positive can-do attitude.  Although he doesn't say much he has quickly become a staple amongst our community.  Keep working hard and good things will continue to happen! -Coach Chris

 

What do you enjoy most about being a member of CrossFit Middle Village? 

Friendly crossfitters and great coaches 

How/when did you get involved in CrossFit? 

I started CrossFit in April

What was your first CrossFit workout? How did you feel afterwards? 

It was a 1 mile run, 100 box jumps, 80 wall balls, and 60 lunges. I felt like I'm done using my legs for the rest of the week 

What do you enjoy most about CrossFIt?

It never gets boring 

What is your favorite WOD or Lift? 

Rope climbing and back squats

What is your least favorite WOD or Lift?

Burpees 

What motivates you? How has CrossFit changed you? 

Crossfit motivates me because there is always a new challenge 

What were your goals when you started this journey ? 

My goals were to get in better shape and to get stronger 

What are your goals for the upcoming year? 

To be able to do muscle ups and other movements that I still can't do 

Do you have any advice for new members? 

Show up to CrossFit even on days that you're not in the mood
